Veteran's Ministry

The Apostle Paul said it best: "Give honor to whom it is due!"

As the son of a Korean War veteran and airman in the United States Air Force (as well as nephew to several other U.S. Armed Forces servicemen), Pastor Todd has a genuine heart for our veterans, which has led to the creation of one of the only veterans support ministries in the region. At present, the LOJ Caldwell Veterans Ministry primarily serves our local East Orange campus of the Veteran’s Administration of New Jersey.

The Apostle Paul said it best in Romans 13:7 when he admonished the Church to give honor to whom it is due.  In that regard, it is difficult to find another group of individuals more deserving of our honor than those brave men and women who have put their very lines on the line to safeguard the freedoms we enjoy today.  Therefore, our vision for veterans is simple:  to honor, support and minister to all those whose valor, courage and sacrifice, on our behalves, continue to protect our world and way of life.

While our outreach efforts typically include donations, such as monetary gifts, food, clothing, toiletries and other essentials, in 2017 we are planning a concert on Independence Day, followed by a Christmas holiday spectacular, inclusive of a choir, caroling, banquet and plenty of gifts for the veterans.
